Why belligerent force? A belligerent force is a combat force, an insurgency for example, with the status of legitimate combatants, as opposed to a criminal or terrorist force. Organizations like the EZLN (Zapatistas) and FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia) claim the status of belligerent force, and request that world bodies recognize them as such.

"The EZLN reiterates its demand that it be recognized as a belligerent force, and that its troops be recognized as true combatants. To this end, the EZLN will go to different international forums to demand this recognition from the peoples and governments of the world.

Anyway, I just thought it sounded cool and would make a good name for a band. I was surprised to find the domain available and I snagged it.

Note: If someone out there wants this domain for a website devoted to the struggle, get the site up and running and I will consider relinquishing the domain.
